At the 5th National Problem Solving Competition (NPSC) held by Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya, the SINERGI Team, which consists of three UNPAR Management Study Program students, managed to get the first rank and win first place.
The NPSC, which was held on May 2 through May 4, was divided into two rounds. The first round was the pre-case stage, where participants were asked to provide solutions to problems in a tourism village. The next stage was only for the top 16, which came from all over Indonesia, such as Palembang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Manado, Bandung, Semarang, and Jakarta. The theme adopted by the 2018 NPSC was “Empowering Local Companies to Strive in a Global Business World.”
Rosaline Dwi Agiana (2015), Ricky Ahmad Yudrian (2015), and Dinda Putri Haruman (2015) succeeded in impressing the judges at the presentation stage on the first day by offering solutions that were applicable and economical but had a big impact. The next day, a competition was held to test the participants’ knowledge of management science. On the second day, the SINERGI team took the runner-up position. On the last day, the SINERGI team amazed the judges again by giving a thoughtful, interesting, and well-prepared presentation.
The success of UNPAR Management students in winning first place showed the existence of UNPAR students who are able to compete at the national level.
