Menetrooper 2018 took place on March 24 and 25, 2018 at Zone 235 Cikole, Lembang, West Bandung, and West Java. On Saturday, the participants of Menetrooper 2018 gathered at UNPAR at 12:00 for the amazing race briefing and group division in UNPAR’s wind tunnel. The briefing was 30 minutes late due to participants’ late arrivals. The briefing started at 12:30, and subsequently, the Amazing Race event began at 13:00. There were a few amazing race spots that needed to be moved due to unfavorable weather conditions at that time. The amazing race at UNPAR lasted until 14:45. After participants rested for 15 minutes, they moved to Zone 235. Participants were immediately directed to the third Amazing Race location in Zone 235. The amazing race in Zone 235 was hampered by bad weather, which meant that one spot for the event could not be run. The amazing race in spot 3 ran until 16:00. The Menetrooper 2018 was then followed by opening remarks from the chief executive of the Menetrooper 2018 and the leader of HMPSM for the 2017/2018 period. Following these remarks, participants built tents together with group members that had been decided by the committee. After this, dinner was served from 17:30 to 18:30. The first day of the event was concluded with a campfire, which consisted of showing a video summary of the first day’s events, sharing, announcing the winner of the first day’s events, watching a movie, and having barbeque. The campfire went ahead as planned, and participants went to take a rest at 23:00.
On the second day, participants were woken up at 06:30 for morning exercises. The morning exercise started from 07:30 until 08:00, which was followed by breakfast until 09:00. The next activity was preparation for the amazing race event, where participants were allowed to shower and then gather again at 10:00. Participants were briefed about the second day of the amazing race and immediately headed to the fourth spot, where they started playing until 11:30. After that, participants were given time to rest and consume snacks that were provided by the committee until 12:00. The event was then followed by a briefing for paintball given by the Zone 235 people until 12:15. Paintball went according to schedule from 12:15 to 13:30. The second day of the event was then closed by the announcement of the winner of Menetrooper 2018, closing remarks by the chief executive as well as the leader of HMPSM, photo taking with all of the participants as well as Menetrooper 2018 committee members, and singing the march of HMPSM UNPAR until 14:00. After that, participants made their preparations to go back until 15:00. The departure from Zone 235 was delayed by 30 minutes due to bad weather, so transportation needed to be moved to a more accessible area. Participants arrived at UNPAR safely at 16:30.
